Major Kyle E. Larish
1ST LAW ENFORCEMENT BATTALION
Major Larish was born and raised in West Seneca, NY (near Buffalo). He graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BS in Business Administration. He attended OCS OCC Class 186 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in August 2004.
Following The Basic School he was designated a Military Police Officer (5803) and attended MOS training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. In June 2005 he was subsequently assigned to Company A, 2d Military Police Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group at Camp Lejeune, NC. Major Larish served as a Platoon Commander and deployed to Al Taqaddum, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 04-06.2 from August 2005 to March 2006. Maj Larish was then assigned as the Executive Officer of Security Company, CLB-2 and deployed to Al Asad, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 06-08.1 from February 2007 to September 2007.
In May 2008, Major Larish was transferred to Okinawa, Japan, where he was assigned as the Force Protection Officer for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. There he participated in several deployments throughout Southeast Asia and conducted major theater exercises PHIBLEX, BALIKATAN, COBRA GOLD, and TALISMAN SABRE. He also participated in Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations in the Republic of the Philippines after Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) in September 2009. He was then selected and reported to the Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, VA in August 2010 until graduation in May 2011.
In June 2011, Major Larish reported to Camp Pendleton, CA for duty as the Company Commander, Military Police Company, CLR-17, 1st MLG. In March 2012 he helped form the newly established 1st Law Enforcement Battalion (1st LE Bn) and transferred his company to I MHG. He was then assigned to a Police Advisor Team-District (PAT-D) and deployed to Kajaki, Afghanistan with 2nd Battalion 7th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 7 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM from September 2012 - March 2013. Maj Larish returned from deployment and resumed duties as Company Commander for Company B, 1st LE Bn.
In July 2014, Major Larish reported to United States Northern Command stationed at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. He served as a Land Domain Chief and Exercise Support Chief for the NORAD-USNORTHCOM Current Operations Center (N2C2).
In July 2017, Major Larish reported to the Provost Marshal's Office, MCB Camp Pendleton, as the Deputy Provost Marshal. From January to July 2018 he served as the Provost Marshal.
In July 2018, Major Larish reported to back to 1st LE Bn for duties as the Battalion Executive Officer.
